I just found a real rarity in the timeshare exchange world.  The Salmon Falls Resort in Ketchikan Alaska is listed in RCI’s Last Call vacations.  As far as I know it’s the only timeshare in Alaska in either RCI or Interval International, and in over 21 years in the business, I’ve never heard of anyone exchanging to Alaska.

There are 4 rooms available as of this post and you can pick them up for only $199 per week.  The big shock is that they’re available from late May through July 5th of 2009.  Of course, they won’t last long, so you need to jump on them immediately. 

Salmon Falls Ketchikan, Alaska

All of the rooms in the Salmon Falls Resort are hotel units and there is a mandatory all inclusive charge for meals of $899 per person for adults and $499 for children.  That would add up to $2,000 for the week for 2 adults.  I checked their website and the same package would be over $4,200!

According to their website,

“Our main hotel building is constructed of rustic Montana Pine. The rooms in our main hotel are large and comfortable. You will get the feeling of the wilderness, but with all the creature comforts. Each room has two double beds, a private bath, and a telephone. We also offer triple rooms. These rooms have three double beds, wireless internet, a private bath, and a telephone.

Our other hotel building also has large comfortable rooms. Each room has two queen beds, wireless internet, a private bath and a telephone. Some adjoining rooms are available. Daily maid service is provided in our hotels.

We serve the finest beef and freshest Alaskan seafood all in a secluded pristine setting surrounded by magnificent scenery.
Our restaurant seats 180 and has a panoramic view of Behm Canal, Clover Passage, and the cascading Salmon Falls waterfall. Located within the restaurant is our comfortable lounge.”
