This is really interesting. In my post last week I showed you the amount of timeshare weeks RCI made available to me from my 4 banked Whistler weeks. Here they are:

Year Size Unit # of Weeks Available

2008            4/2                           131,072

2008            6/4                           136,512

2009            4/2                           106,616

2009            6/4                          106,616

=================================

This week RCI shows even more availability:

Year Size Unit # of Weeks Available

2008            4/2                           131,194

2008            6/4                           136,718

2009            4/2                           107,995

2009            6/4                          107,991

=================================

So my older banked weeks show only slightly more availability but my newer banked weeks show about 1,300 more timeshare weeks available in RCI. This makes sense because, like I wrote in my Feb 5th post, January through March is “Exchange Season”.

Even though there is more availability, when I did a quick search today I noticed that there were fewer premium weeks and resorts available than last week.

I really like this new feature in RCI but don’t be tempted to take your second or third choice when searching this way. If you do see what you want, grab it and put it on a 24 hour hold immediately or it will be gone. Let’s hope that Interval International will be doing the same thing soon.

For some free information on exchanging your timeshare, click here if you use RCI and click here if you use II.
